Cutsey Rating Sysytem

I will give each book 1 (yucky), 2 (OK), 3 (good), 4 (really good, but not Fab) or 5 (FAB!) of these tacky little bookbags....

Remember~these are my opinions. I have no business telling anyone what to do, but it has never stopped me before... Like I tell my students, books are different for everyone and everyone brings their own experiences to every one they read. Feel free to argue. I like telling people they are wrong :)

Adam By Ted Dekker (2008)

I have a nasty habit of reading the last part first to see if I want to read an entire book. Something told me not to do that with this book and I am glad I didn't because it was awesome!!! Adam is the story of a serial Killer named Eve and the FBI agent Daniel who tracks him down. That is all I want to tell you because I am afraid if I start to tell you, I will spill the beans. And I do not want to spill the beans. I want you to be as engaged, involved and as SCARED as I was. So...a FBI behavorist is tracking a serial killer. He ends up as a victim and dies...yes dies. He is then revived and begins having bizarre episodes related to his near death experience and the serial killer. That's it...all ya get. Go read the book~with the lights on!

I cannot wait to read his new book coming out in the fall and when I have recovered from this one, I will go and get some of his others, just to see.

Howdy!

I read...a lot! Reading has been my passion since I was a 6 year old. My reading tastes are like my taste in music~I like a little bit of everything. So my plan this year is to read 52 books. I probably already have, but I have not kept track or "reviewed" (given my opinion...whatever!!!) so I start today.
I plan on letting you know everything I read in book form. It may be young adult, kid lit, romance novels, "serious" literature, popular fiction, popular non-fiction, chick lit...anything and everything EXCEPT professional stuff. (Even I won't torture you with educational reading. Education is like the old adage..."opinions are like ***holes, everyone has one"~only educators get encouraged/paid/tenured to write all about it!) So if you are a literature snob, this might not be your place. I believe everyone has the right to their voice~with the Internet, even fools like me can bore/entertain/piss off people like you~and I reserve the right to tell anyone who will listen how I feel about books. Please feel free to let me know how you feel, too. Maybe we might actually "talk"~wouldn't that be fun!!!
I will give a book a rating of 1 (yuck!) to 5 (Fabulous!). I am on quest for some cute symbol to represent my feelings...could be a while!
